Each player has a pool of hero points that they may use during game to grant another character some bonus. Unlike other games, hero points may not be used by a player to effect rolls for their own character, but may be used for any other character including NPCs.
Players start with a pool of hero points equal to 5 + 1/2 character level.
By spending one hero point a player can:
- Add 1d6 to any d20 roll made by another character
- Allow a character to reroll a damage result if they wish
- Turn a failed death saving throw into a success
A player can spend only 1 hero point per roll.
When leveling up all character have their hero point pools reset.
